SEADFCON 2022

It was a pleasure to organize SEADFCON 2022 at a very special and picturesque city of Rishikesh. Last two years were literally washed off for any face to face academic event due to COVID. Nevertheless, the organization was quite active in fulfilling its social and academic responsibilities.

The UDAAN has been more active towards its social commitments during these difficult times. It organized many free health camps and was instrumental in providing free vaccine during the peak COVID times. The faculty and the delegates are the heart of any conference. We were privileged to have masters in their field from India and abroad as faculty and they launched this academic conclave to a different level. The governing body of the SEADF itself has one of the best academicians of the country and they have always been the guiding force.

The academic program was carefully designed to include the clinically relevant advances in the field of diabetes. An effective academic interaction at this level lays the foundation for any relevant research. We salute our members and volunteers for their selfless and tireless commitment. Organizing the national conference of SEADF has not been easy due to logistic reasons and many conferences being held around the same time. I feel both the place, AIIMS Rishikesh, and the venue are very special. The twin cities of Rishikesh and Haridwar are a real treat to visit with a number of tourist attractions nearby. I am sure the attendees and their families must have enjoyed the nature and the stay at its best.

The conference would definitely provide an opportunity for the delegates to interact and strengthen their network, and thus opening new horizons for growth. The postgraduates also had opportunity to present their academic work in the conference. There were almost eighty five presentations made by the postgraduates.

We thank one and all for making this academic conclave successful.

JAI HIND! JAI BHARAT!
